ECOCARE Fly/ILT Service:This fly management service provides our clients insect light trap (ILT) service and maintenance. In some instances ECOCARE Fly Management may include other fly management services not specified above. An example might be providing scheduled spot treatments.
ECOCARE Fly/Bio Remediation:This Fly management service targets small flies, primarily fruit and drain flies. The service targets treating drains and other areas flies reproduce, feed and live.
Small Flies Can Be A Big Problem
• Small flies, sometimes called "gnats", can be a big problem in restaurants and other food processing and food service areas. The most commonly encountered small flies are fruit flies, drain flies and phorid flies.
• Like larger flies, small flies spread disease, are a nuisance and cost customer good will.
• Unlike larger flies, small flies actually breed inside the building. They lay their eggs in the scum called a "bio-film" that builds up in drains and other moist, dirty areas.
• Soda or beer fountains, the cracks between baseboards and floors and walls, cracks in floor tile, or other cracks around processing machinery are often problem areas.
• Your pest management professional (PMP) is trained to identify these areas where small flies can breed.
• It is important to work with your pest management professional to help control these flies at the source!
