Scott Stevenson learned the business from the ground up starting in the late 1970's sweeping the store room floors and mixing rodenticide for the service department.  In the 1980's Scott worked after school and during summer vacations on the road learning the intricacies of commercial and residential pest control.  Upon graduating with a Bachelor's degree in Business Management from the University of Southern Maine, he joined Modern full time as General Manager in 1990.  In 2003 Scott went back to school part time and in 2005 he graduated from the University of Southern Maine with a Masters degree in Business Administration.  During Scott's tenure with Modern he has held several positions and currently serves as Chief Operations Officer and partner on the Executive Support Team.

Scott is responsible for overseeing company operations, sales, marketing and finance.  Scott is also active within the pest management industry, and is a past president of the New England Pest Management Association.

Scott resides in Brunswick with his wife Laurie and their four children.

Richard grew up working in the family business enjoying the physical work and spending long working hours out-doors.  Modern was much smaller then, so Richard, along side his brothers, was able to experience almost every position Modern offers, from front line Service and Sales positions to General Manger of Modern’s Southern Maine and New England Territories. Richard holds a degree in Environmental Entomology and has been a Board Certified Entomologist for over 15 years, being the youngest in Maine to be certified at the time.  He has served on the New England Pest Management Association's Board of Directors, was elected Chair of Education and is presently serving on the Maine Board of Pesticides control.  Richard is serving as Modern’s Chief Technical Officer and partner on the Executive Support Team.

Douglas also grew up working after school and summers in the family business, and has held most positions throughout the organization.  In 1995 after some time away from the organization, Doug returned to open and manage Modern's Woburn, MA service center.  Doug continued on as General Manager of the location during a time of extraordinary growth.  Upon returning to Maine and joining the executive team, Doug developed Modern’s advanced information technology infrastructure to deliver superior service to clients.  Doug's current responsibilities as Chief Financial Officer and Executive Support Team partner include overseeing finance as well as human resources, information technology and company administration.  Douglas has received a bachelor’s degree in accounting with honors and will graduate with a master’s in business administration and graduate certificate in human resources management in fall 2008.
