Modern Pest Services to Remain Open as an Essential Service Provider in Massachusetts and Connecticut

Massachusetts and Connecticut Governors Order Non-Essential Businesses to Close Temporarily

Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker issued an emergency order requiring all businesses and organizations that do not provide “COVID-19 Essential Services” to close their physical workplaces and facilities to workers, customers and the public as of Tuesday, March 24th at noon until Tuesday, April 7th at noon.

They issued a list of designated businesses and other organizations that provide essential services and workforces related to COVID-19 that will continue to operate. This list is based on federal guidance and amended to reflect the needs of Massachusetts’ unique economy. While these businesses are designated as essential, they are urged to follow social distancing protocols for workers in accordance with guidance from the Department of Public Health.

Connecticut Governor Ned Lamont has also instituted a “Stay Safe, Stay Home” executive order directing all non-essential workers statewide to work from home. Essential service providers may continue to operate.

Services provided by Modern Pest and other pest management companies can continue to conduct business in Massachusetts and Connecticut and are deemed essential services.

Modern Pest will continue with our scheduled residential and commercial services throughout Massachusetts and Connecticut. Clients may also request additional services in addition to previously scheduled services. We will perform services as conditions allow on a case-by-case basis.
